Kimberley Stone proudly partnered with the Shire of Broome on the Walmanyjun Cable Beach Foreshore Redevelopment, contributing to one of the region’s most iconic public upgrades. Our team was commissioned to craft a striking architectural curved retaining wall, built entirely from our signature Kimberley sandstone.
Over a period of three months, each of the 127 custom-cut blocks was carefully machined to meet the unique curvature and design specifications of the project. The result is not only a structurally sound retaining wall but also a standout architectural feature along the foreshore. Thoughtfully integrated seating wraps around the entire wall, providing both form and function for public enjoyment.
To complement the wall, 58m² of Kimberley Stone paving was installed in a crazy paving layout. This area showcases the material’s natural variation and texture, with the distinct outback sandstone colours enhancing the warm, earthy tones of the coastal landscape. The finished paving brings a grounded, organic aesthetic to the space while ensuring durability in a high-traffic environment.
